How to use this site

This site has two areas — public resources anyone can use without an account, and protected areas for registered users. Here's how to navigate both.

Public Area

No login needed. Browse, learn, and plan freely.

Protected Area

Login required. Saves your progress, plans, and certificates.

Marae Restricted

Approved marae representatives only. Contact your marae admin.

  4. 4Work through each step and mark complete as you go
  5. 5Optionally log in to save your progress and receive a certificate

Whānau Evacuation Plan

Create a household emergency plan — save and retrieve it with a household name and 6-digit PIN.

How to use

  1. 1Click "Whānau Evacuation Plan" from the homepage
  2. 2Fill in each section (contacts, hazards, go-bag, etc.)
  3. 3When ready, click "Save Plan" — enter your household name and choose a 6-digit PIN
  4. 4To return later, click "Load Plan" and enter the same household name and PIN

Marae Emergency Plan

A comprehensive emergency management plan for your marae.

How to use

  2. 2From the Portal, click "Marae Emergency Plan"
  3. 3Complete each section — your progress is saved automatically
  4. 4You can export or print your plan at any time

Marae Hub

Community platform for marae representatives to collaborate, share events, and discuss kaupapa.

How to use

  1. 1Log in and go to the Portal
  2. 2Click "Marae Hub"
  3. 3Browse the directory, upcoming events, or join discussions
  4. 4To post or create events, your marae must be registered — click "Register your Marae Hub"

Whānau Plan PINs

Your Whānau Evacuation Plan is saved with a household name and a 6-digit PIN — no account needed. Keep your PIN safe — it's the only way to reload your plan. If you forget it, you'll need to start a new plan.
